Jennifer Potter-Quillen, EA
Founder & Owner
Jennifer Quillen is the owner of JQ Financial Solutions. She has worked in the financial industry since 2002 and specializes in identifying opportunities for growth as well as areas that can be streamlined to save money and time. One area she actively focuses on is helping clients, particularly small business owners, save money on their taxes. Being a small business owner herself gives JQ a perspective that is often lacking in the accounting world; rather than just seeing a set of numbers, she sees the struggles and opportunities that her clients face.
Jennifer believes that all financial decisions should be approached calmly and rationally, and not out of a place of fear or stress. A solid financial plan doesn’t need to be sold, it’s just a good fit.
When she isn’t assisting clients, Jen can be found spending time her kids, traveling, and cheering on the UK basketball team.


Tracey Quenon
Lead Accountant
Tracey Quenon joined the JQ Financial Solutions team in January of 2024 and her role includes general accounting duties, client implementation, and accounting team leader. Prior to joining JQFS, Tracey worked as an accountant, and a sales rep for ADP and owned her own small business. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with an accounting degree. Tracey manages administrative duties and client relations for us here at JQ Financial Solutions.
She spends her free time with her husband Greg and three children; Evan, Carson, and Lainey at the ballpark or volleyball court these days.

Kayla Childers
Staff Accountant
Kayla Childers joined JQ Financial Solutions in February 2023 as a Staff Accountant. Her role at JQFS includes general bookkeeping and accounting duties. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a minor in History, and was born and raised in Lexington.
Making others feel valued and loved as Christ loves her is one of her passions in life. She also enjoys going on long walks and country drives, roller skating, crafting magazine collages, and watching movies.

Madelyn Quillen
Personal Assistant to the ceo
Madelyn supports the leadership team at JQ Financial Solutions by assisting with calendar and system management, social media support, and a variety of day-to-day office needs. Her flexibility, organization, and willingness to step in wherever needed help keep operations running smoothly.
Currently pursuing a degree in social work, Madelyn values hands-on experience and brings a thoughtful, people-first mindset to her role. Balancing work and school, she approaches both with reliability, determination, and a positive attitude—making her a valued part of the JQ Financial Solutions team.

Alexis Reese
Executive Assistant
Alexis joined JQ Financial Solutions with a strong background in healthcare administration, where she worked as a Release of Information Specialist for several hospitals. In that role, she gained experience handling sensitive records, managing complex workflows, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality—skills that seamlessly transfer into her position as Executive Assistant to JQ. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which she believes gives her a unique perspective on communication and problem-solving. Originally from LaGrange, KY, where she grew up on a racehorse farm, Alexis learned the value of hard work and adaptability early on.
Outside of work, Alexis enjoys gardening, hiking and traveling with her soon-to-be husband, Michael, and spending time at home with their dog, Pepper, and two cats, Gloria and Bernie.

Emilie Simmons
OFFICE MANAGER
Emilie Simmons joined the JQ Financial Solutions team as Office Manager, where she ensures operations run smoothly and efficiently. Her role includes overseeing administrative functions, maintaining organization across the office, and supporting both clients and team members with precision and care. Emilie is currently pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology at Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC), where she is expanding her technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Outside of work, Emilie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family, making the most of life’s everyday moments and bringing that same sense of positivity and balance to her role at JQ Financial Solutions.
